Construct eco building for shared school and community use.  Constructed using solid timber structural panels, timber fibre insulation and locally sourced sweet chestnut cladding with Photovoltaic tiles, wind turbines, grey water plumbing, air source heat pumps and use of many other specialist eco-friendly materials.  Works included a library, separate classroom space, WC’s, reception area and DDA compliant access ramp. 

The wood fibre insulation, natural daylight and natural ventilation mean that the building is a breathable, natural learning environment.  The building achieved an A13 EPC carbon rating and in conjunction with the high levels of embodied carbon, should achieve a zero carbon footprint for its anticipated life time.
