York House - The work comprises the demolition and reconstruction of the existing stair tower incorporating a lift; demolition of the covered walkway adjacent to the building; construction of a new two storey extension; stripping the existing external cladding to expose the structural frame and fixing new external skin; re-roofing; internal strip out and refurbishment including formation of new sanitary facilities; new services infrastructure and general finishes. Contract valued at £1,542,033.

Offley Cottages - The works involve the construction of two new 2 storey houses and garages. Contract valued at £465,000.
 

Contracts Won:-
Energy Centre Building (Harpenden) - The construction of a new Biomass Energy Centre as part of the District Heating System. Contract valued at £160,000.

Codicote Primary School - The extension of existing staffroom and the infilling of an internal court yard to provide additional teaching space. Contract valued at £96,925.

Marron House & Solace Centre - The works include alteration, refurbishment and new build extensions. Contract valued at £708,512.00.

Finlandia Centre - The design and conversion of an existing building incorporating a single storey front extension and general alterations to provide 6 apartments with associated external works and services. Contract valued at £630,000.

Our Lady & St Andrew - Convert the existing, detached, single storey brick built garage and store into a self-contained office and Pastoral Centre Office. Convert the existing, detached, Grove Road House property into 2 self-contained flats, with shared common access.

Theobald Street - The project consists of the demolition of the existing buildings on site, site clearance and preparation. Also the removal of an existing electrical transformer and the construction of a new warehouse building. Contract valued at £815,000.

Southall Campus - This project includes the refurbishent of existing rooms to include redecoration, new floor coverings and ceilings (not all rooms). Also includes the alteration of the existing heating system as necessary, alteration to electrical circuits, installaton of dado trunking and an upgrade to the lighting. Furthermore there will be partition changes in isolated rooms and also the installation of toilet accomodation. Contract valued at £355,797.

Newman Catholic College - Construction of part brick and glazed extension. Self supporting canopy, alterations to reception, classroom and shower room. Contract valued at £161,993.

Christ The King Primary School - The works comprise of improvements/ remodelling  to office suite, PPA room with assoicaited external works. Contract valued at £176,887.

Goldhawk - This job involves the demolition of an existing pub whilst retaining the three story front facade. We will also be constructing ten new apartments. Contract valued at £2.9m.

Claremont Medical Centre - Ground floor front extension, First floor front & rear extensions will be constructed using timber frame technology. Demolition of the walkthrough on the side of the neighbouring property will also carried out to provide access to the works.

MP Building Ltd are happy to announce two new members of the team. Nigel Roberts has joined our Contracts Managers team and will be based in our head office. Keith Atkinson has joined our team as site manager to Kings College Court.

Bushey Health Centre - The project comprises of the construction of a new build Health centre on 3 levels. The Health Centre will consist of 16 consulting rooms, treatment rooms, waiting rooms and a nurses station on the ground floor, with shell space for a pharmacy. There will also be a further 2 consulting rooms, doctor & staff areas, meeting rooms and storage at 1^st floor which will be served by 2 lifts and stair cores. The ground floor comprises of mostly parking and plant rooms serving the building. Contract valued at £4.2m.

St Albans High School, Music Centre, Wheathampstead - Renovation and extension to Music School. Contract value at 1.5million.
Station road - Flats with retail space beneath. Contract valued at 1.3million.

Charteris House- Phase 1 - Conversion of a three storey office block into 21 1 bedroom flats with replacement windows, installation of passenger lift, new services and associated external works.

Work is progressing well on the refurbishment works at St. David’s Care Home in London W5.  We have enjoyed an excellent working relationship with Jane McAuley and Di Jones, Manager and Assistant Manager at the home.  This picture shows them taking some time out from their normal duties to try out some specially commissioned hard hats on site.  A change of career beckons!
